Guerrilla Gallery - archive
Guerrilla Gallery was launched at Hannah Maclure Centre in July 2010.
Using a combination of high-fi and low-fi multimedia technologies, Guerrilla Gallery opened up spaces for creative free play. As part of our approach we invited digital still submissions in all creative forms. These were incorporated into our events alongside live music, dance, poetry, tagtool drawing, and more.
In November 2010 Guerrilla Gallery joined forces with Bike Light Disco to participate in NEoN's Party in the Carpark.
Our third and fourth Guerrilla Gallery events were held at Tayside Recyclers, the last as an opening event for Dundee Live Public Art and Performance Festival 2011. Headline acts included work by Finn Anderson, Esperi, Desiring Machines, Joanna Foster, Edward Shallow, Mary Sommerville, and the Dundee African Dancers.
Currently Guerrilla Gallery are taking a well earned rest, in the hope that other collectives take up the initiative!
